Mentoring Program

Program Overview

The Educational Interpreter Mentorship Program is a five-month learning experience (January–May 2027) designed to build interpreting competence through deliberate practice, reflective feedback, and mentor support. Participants will engage in self-paced online modules, interpreting practice samples, GoREACT video feedback, and bi-weekly mentoring sessions.

  • Application Deadline: December 12, 2026 

  • Selection Notifications: December 15, 2026

  • Participant Confirmation Due: December 19, 2026

  • Orientation: January 6, 2027 

  • Cohort Size: Limited to 6 participants 

Eligibility 

Applicants must meet all the following: 

  • Currently employed as an educational interpreter in a Georgia K–12 setting; 

  • Working without a license, on a waiver, or under a non-renewable license

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving interpreting proficiency; 

  • Have reliable internet access and a device capable of high-quality video recording and playback (laptop, tablet, or webcam; phones are not permitted for recording); 

  • Be able to dedicate approximately 3 hours per week to mentoring activities.
